    Workshop Nº 2

Refer to the Teaching Stage you have already started and answer the following questions:

    1. Do you feel satisfied with your performance as a teacher so far? Take about the things you like and about the ones you don´t like.
Y have to say that I am still feeling really nervous about the process I am living because my student are really complicated and are a real challenge for me. For the very first time I knew it was not going to be easy but step by step I realized that if Iam here is for something and I promise my self to do everything to triumph. I like the way I talk with the student in order to be close for them but at the same time they know I am a teacher. I like the way how I capture all what I learn in the university and I put all my knowledge in my lesson plans trying to give the best of me. I like the process, I know is a hard road but I hope to do it well. I know I have a lot to improve and learn. The only thing I am not satisfied is that sometime Y have to be stronger and emphatic with the student and to control them better because they are a mess.

    2. Guide teacher´s support: How effective has it been during this stage? Why?
It has been a wonderful support, she is always saying what is good and what I have to fix in order to help me. She has a lot of readiness and she offers me everything what she can to make me the things easier.
    3. Student´s level of engagement: Do your students enjoy the classroom learning activities presented? ; What do they say about them?
As I said before they are a mess but for some reason they try to help me and are worried about my evaluation, they know it is important for me and with that situation clear they seem interested when I present them some exercise that is different, they enjoy when I do group exercises or competitions, they are talkative so some time it is the only way to calm them down and make them participate to all of them.

    4. Planning and lesson preparation: What teaching approach do you consider appropriate to students ´learning style? Which one are you actually using with them? Why?
I try to give them the everything they need to make them realized why they have to learn and what they have to do in order to create the opportunity to visualize their weaknesses.
    5. Lesson Timing: How much of the planned activities do you actually cover in each lesson? Is it what you expected?

Since now all what I have planned it have been thought because I know my students and I try to be very realistic with the things that I ask them to do and the time they need to do a good job.

  3. Reflection Nº2: Post- observation conferenceInstructions:

Going back to the moment you were giving your lesson at school, what aspects do you identify as critical once you have finished the lesson? Refer about your own expectations, fears and resolutions.

The big problem was group handling, I was really nervous because I did not know that I was going to be evaluated, it was my blame and my irresponsibility and that was against me I did not have what the supervisor needed so it was a chaos for me but I think it could have been worse so I know my big problem was the manage of the class but I going to give the best of my the next time.

Also refer about feelings that came up when socializing the above issues with the supervisor from the university.

In the very first time I was disappointed and all my motivation felt down because I thought that I could not do it but after a personal reflection I understand that I am here to learn.

You have a full page (letter format) to write. Do not forget to attach this reflection into your own blog and share it with your peers.
